Murknob with Belcha-Banna

An Elite Heavy unit and a champion warrior of the Kruleboyz who revels in taking the heads of their adversaries – honestly or otherwise. They alone are granted the honour of carrying Belcha-bannas into battle, foul relics with all manner of strange powers that have the fetid tongue of a Mire Drake impaled upon it.

Breaka-Boss on Mirebrute Troggoth

Troggoths are Monsters on their own, but when mounted by a formidable Breaka-Boss they become a deadly Assault unit. It’s hardly surprising that the combination of a veteran Orruk and a towering beast with regenerative flesh is an effective one, even with the Breaka-Boss stabbing the Troggoth into rage-fuelled charges.

Beast-Skewer Killbow

In the Realm of Beasts, ranged weaponry must respond to the sheer size and resilience of the predators that abound. The Beast-Skewer Killbow is a portable ballista made for monsters, so its effect on the Kruleboyz’ smaller foes can easily be imagined. Even more easily witnessed, as the Orruks manning them have been hand-picked for their proficiency with ranged weapons.

Hobgrot Slittaz

What Hobgrots lack in size, this Assault unit makes up in vicious cunning. They are mean-spirited, smarter than your average grot, and malicious users of razor-sharp daggers and scrap explosives. The only time they mob up and work together is when the enemy is within ‘killin range’.

Man-Skewer Boltboyz

A two-foot long bolt between the eyes tends to be the reward to those that underestimate this sadistic Ranged unit. And if they can’t kill, they’re happy to make suffer: they employ brittle bolts that leave shrapnel in wounds and are more than willing to use the worst toxins and venoms Ghur has to offer.

Gutrippaz

A Heavy unit of cruel Orruks, brandishing jagged scrap spears known as stikkaz and crudely effective skareshields which bear the face of a bulge-eyed predator. Gutrippaz are the dangerous infantry of the Kruleboyz army and take great glee in swarming a foe and jabbing until that foe stops fighting back.

Mourngul

Driven by famine and pain to hunt their former friends and companions, Mournguls are damned to an eternity of terrible isolation. This Heavy Monster unit is neither dead nor alive, but their shadowy cadaverous forms of cold flesh and cracked bone warp and twist ceaselessly as they rake their foes with claws and teeth.

Guardian of Souls

The unwholesome flame that burns in a Guardian of Souls’ lantern invigorates and draws in the dead. As mortals, they toyed with necromantic power but stepped away after realising they trod a perilous path. Nagash reformed them as nexuses of the dark power they once spurned and now this spectral creature is a focal point and Hero unit in any Nighthaunt host.

Knight of Shrouds

Any Knight of Shrouds’ skill in warfare is truly something of legend, and yet each one betrayed their former command when faced with the endless legions of Death. Nagash, Lord of the Undead, saw their betrayal as wisdom. The commander had the clarity to see they could never truly win, and so they are rewarded with an eternity of service as a leader and Hero in Death’s armies.

Awlrach the Drowner

There are few in the afterlife who see their undeath as a blessing, yet Awlrach the Drowner relishes his role. Once a ferryman and thief who would drown his victims en route across the water, now a looming spectre and deathly Hero formed of half gheist and half funeral barque. Awlrach is a killer no longer forced to hide, and he will row and slaughter until the stars of Azyr blink out.
