De Queensland koala (of Phascolarctos cinereus) is een buideldier dat leeft in eucalyptusbomen in oostelijk Australië. Hun vacht is grijs tot bruin, ze hebben gedrongen ledematen, ronde pluizige oren en een bolle neus. Het zijn seksueel dimorfische dieren, wat betekent dat het mannetje aanzienlijk groter is dan het vrouwtje. Queensland koala's zijn tussen 60 en 75 cm hoog. Mannetjes wegen tussen de 4,2 en 9,1 kilo, vrouwtjes tussen de 4,1 en 7,3 kilo. Beide seksen eten bijna uitsluitend eucalyptusbladeren.
