イースタンブラウンスネーク (Pseudonaja textilis) は、オーストラリアとニューギニアに棲む、毒を持つ爬虫類の一種である。乾燥地に好んで棲み、草原、低木地、疎林で多く目撃される。淡褐色から濃褐色で、腹部の色は薄く、カモフラージュ用に鱗に濃褐色の斑点があることもある。体長は通常、1.5～2 m で、口を開けて頭と体を高く持ち上げ、S 字型に曲げる防御姿勢が有名である。これは、威嚇ポーズだと間違えられやすい。
