Il cavallo di Przewalski (o Equus ferus przewalskii) è una specie di cavallo selvatico che abita nelle steppe della Mongolia, ed è noto anche come pony della Mongolia, takhi e cavallo di Zungaria. Il cavallo di Przewalski è più piccolo e robusto della maggior parte degli altri equini. È lungo tra 2,1 e 2,6 metri e alto al garrese tra 1,2 e 1,5 metri. Gli esemplari maturi pesano tra 250 e 360 chili. I maschi possono essere leggermente più grandi delle femmine, tuttavia questa specie non mostra dimorfismo sessuale accentuato. Il manto è marroncino e più chiaro sul ventre, mentre la criniera è nera, così come la coda folta e le zampe.

The exact taxonomic status of Przewalski’s horse is still debated, some arguing it is a subspecies of what became the domestic horse, while others classify it as a separate species of wild horse.
