Der Grüne Leguan (Iguana iguana) ist eine große Echse, die in ganz Mittelamerika, im Norden Südamerikas und in der Karibik beheimatet ist. Er hat einen langen Schwanz mit einem gezackten Kamm, der von seinem Schädel bis zum unteren Ende seiner Wirbelsäule reicht, sowie muskulöse Beine mit langen Zehen und Krallen. Schwanz und Körper können auch Streifungen aufweisen.
