ユキヒョウ (Panthera uncia) は、灰白色の毛皮、体全体の黒い斑紋、顔には黒い斑点があり、ネパール、チベット、インド北部、シベリア南部、パキスタン、ブータン、モンゴルの山岳部に生息している。毛皮は非常に厚く、断熱効果が高いため、-25℃ 以下の気温に快適に耐えることができる。主に山羊や羊を食べるが、鳥やげっ歯類を捕まえることもある。
