コモドオオトカゲ (Varanus komodoensis) は、インドネシアのコモド島、リンカ島、フローレス島、ギリモタン島に生息する大型の爬虫類である。鈍い緑茶色で、幅の広い手足と大きな口、長く筋肉質の尾と、二股に分かれた黄色い舌が特徴である。オスの平均体長は 2.59 m、体重は通常 79～91 kg である。メスは小さく、平均体長 2.29 m、体重 68～73 kg である。
