ゴライアスガエル (Conraua goliath) はカメルーンと赤道ギニアに生息する極めて大型の種で、特に流れの速い河川で暮らす。体色は緑やこげ茶色、下腹部は色が薄く、大きな黄色い目をしている。また、皮膚には畝状に小さな突起があるものもいる。オスはメスよりも大きく、体重 0.6～3 kg、体長 17～30 cm に到達する。食用、トロフィーハンティング、ペット取引のために乱獲されたことが原因で、絶滅危惧種に指定されている。
