ペルビアンジャイアントオオムカデ (Scolopendra gigantea) は、南米およびカリブ海地域の森林原産の、大きく恐ろしい肉食の節足動物である。様々な動物を捕獲して毒を注入し、殺すことができる。また特定の獲物を捕まえるためのテクニックもマスターしている。全長は 30cm にまで達し、色は個体ごとに様々である。通常は、赤、黄、茶、黒などの体に、黄色の足があり、体の節の部分が濃い。
