ウォンバット (Vombatus ursinus) は、オーストラリア南東部とタスマニアの低木林に生息する有袋類である。 丸みを帯びた体型で、短く筋肉質な脚と丸い鼻先が特徴である。体は灰褐色の粗い毛に覆われている。頭胴長は 90 cm ～ 115 cm で体重は 22 kg ～ 39 kg である。オスとメスの間に外見上の明らかな違いはない。
