フクロテナガザル (Symphalangus syndactylus) は、マレー半島とインドネシアのスマトラ島の熱帯雨林に生息するテナガザルの一種である。体は黒一色のフサフサした毛で覆われ、顔には薄い灰色の毛が生えている。腕は体長の約2倍と非常に長く、脚は短く頑丈で、尾はない。あごの下に特徴的なのど袋があり、膨らませて独特の声を発する。平均的なフクロテナガザルは体長 75 cm～ 100 cmで体重 10 kg～ 13 kgである。他の小型類人猿と同様、性的二型はほとんど見られない。
