クイーンズランドコアラ (Phascolarctos cinereus) は、オーストラリア東部のユーカリの森に生息する有袋類である。灰色から茶色の毛皮、器用な爪を持つがっしりとした手足、丸みを帯びたフワフワの耳、膨らみのある黒い鼻のついた顔が特徴だ。性的二型で、オスの方がメスよりもはるかに大きい。体長は 60～75 cmで、オスの体重は 4.2～9.1 kg、メスの体重は 4.1～7.3 kg。雌雄ともにユーカリの葉を主食としている。
