L'anaconda gialla (o Eunectes notaeus) è una grande specie di serpente costrittore con squame gialle e macchie marroni e nere sul dorso. Si trova principalmente nei fiumi, nelle paludi e negli acquitrini del Paraguay, ma anche in Bolivia, Argentina e Brasile. L'anaconda gialla si ciba di qualsiasi animale medio-piccolo che riesce a catturare. Questa specie è nota per le grandi dimensioni. Gli adulti, infatti, raggiungono una lunghezza tra i 3,3 e i 4,4 metri con un peso che si aggira tra i 25 e i 35 chili. L'esemplare più grande mai registrato era lungo 4,6 metri e pesava 55 chili.
