L'orso bruno himalayano (o Ursus arctos isabellinus) è una sottospecie dell'orso bruno che vive nelle montagne di Afghanistan, Pakistan, India settentrionale, Cina occidentale, Nepal, Kazakhstan e Tibet. È un animale molto raro e in pericolo critico: le dimensioni della popolazione in natura sono sconosciute, ma viene minacciato da diversi fattori tra cui la frammentazione dell'habitat per lo sviluppo dell'uomo e il bracconaggio per la pelliccia e altre parti del corpo.
