With much anticipation, we’re pleased to announce that the beta for Chapter Four will be available to all PC Elite Dangerous and Elite Dangerous: Horizons players on Tuesday 30 October!

In order to focus the public testing on specific aspects of Chapter Four, we will be unlocking different content over a number of different weeks. You can find out the schedule that content will be added to the beta here:

At Gamescom we announced the key details on what’s coming to Elite Dangerous in the Beyond - Chapter Three update for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 28 August.

Beyond - Chapter Three is headlined by a new ship, a selection of sleek new Guardian Fighters, and some mysterious new Guardian Beacons hidden in the depths of the galaxy.

We are pleased to announce that Chapter Two of the Beyond series of updates is right around the corner. In just under a month, you’ll be able to get your hands on the Alliance’s newest Chieftain variant: the Alliance Challenger. We’ve also got new mining wing missions, installation interactions, new settlements to explore and, to combat the ever-growing and ever-encroaching Thargoid threat, a cache of new Guardian weapons and technology from the Tech Brokers.

And… you’ll be able to explore it all for yourselves on June 28.

The Thargoids have returned, and yes, you should be very afraid.

Last night we managed to pull off something special; our fantastic community joined together to take part in a Community Goal that would reveal information to change the galaxy forever. Thanks to you, we were able to transfer enough data to Professor Palin who was able to confirm our suspicions: The Thargoids are back… the same enemy so many of our Commanders feared from the original 1984 Elite.

We are delighted to announce that Elite Dangerous will launch for for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system on June 27, 2017.

Elite Dangerous and the Elite Dangerous: Horizons season pass of expansions will be available digitally on the PlayStation Store as standalone products or together as part of the Commander Deluxe Edition, complete with the bonus Commander Paint Pack.

Pre-order on PlayStation Store to receive the exclusive Gold Sidewinder ship paint job. Digital pre-orders are available today in Europe and May 30 in the United States.
