Staff Morale

Staff Morale is a reflection of your staff’s happiness with their job working in your theme park. Morale is calculated at the end of each day and is affected by each staff member’s pay and breaks.

Staff morale can be:

Staff Needs

Staff in Planet Coaster 2 have relatively simple needs, with their happiness at work chiefly focused on their level of pay and their break schedule.

As covered in our Staff guide, staff schedules can be fully customised and their level of pay set at one of three levels:

  • Fair
  • Low
  • High

Your decisions on staff pay and schedule will have a direct impact on Staff Morale, effecting how efficiently your staff members work and possibly even driving them to quit.

Default Blueprints

Planet Coaster 2 has loads of Blueprints to choose from to get your perfect theme park up and running in no time!

From coasters and rides to pools and shops, the default Blueprints available to you can all be edited and adjusted to fit your vision for your park.

How-To Edit a Blueprint

Whether you’re building your own creations or modifying default Blueprints to fit your park’s vision, tweaking and tinkering with the design is simple.

What are Blueprints in Planet Coaster 2?

Put simply, Blueprints are a collection of objects or scenery items. Blueprints can be an arrangement of flowers, a row of shops, or even a giant coaster... or all those things saved together. You can even create Blueprints of paths and pools!

There’s a selection of beautiful pre-set default blueprints available in Planet Coaster 2 to give you an easier time building the theme park of your dreams right out of the box.  You can also save your own Blueprints of creations hat you might want to re-use, or share them with other park managers in the Frontier Workshop.

Guest Moods

Guests’ experience can be affected by their Mood and how it changes throughout the time they spend in your park. Guests arrive Content but their Mood will fluctuate based on how well you met their Needs and how many fun things there are to do.

Guests will have Thoughts about their Moods and what is making them feel that way, which will give you an idea of what is and isn’t working within your theme park.

Staff Schedules

The Staff Schedule allows you to set what staff members are doing throughout the day, along with setting which Zones they are working in.

By default, staff work every hour of a day doing their default task and are scheduled for one break.

Work Blocks are how you plan out your staff’s daily schedules. Work Blocks are set to the staff member’s type of work by default, but the Advanced Settings allow you to select a specific type of work or a specific work target for that block.

Staff Zones

New to Planet Coaster 2, Staff Zones can be created around your park to split it into smaller parts – each with their own colour and icon. By default, any Staff placed within these zones will limit their work to the zone, allowing you to control where your Staff are working in your park. Staff not assigned to a zone, will work across your entire park.

Staff Zones are also useful for reviewing the performance of different areas of the park – learn more about this in our Park Management guide.

Staff Breaks

Staff members will need a Break if they work for more than 4 hours in a single day, otherwise their Morale will decrease.

Breaks are taken in Staff Rooms which you’ll need to build and maintain around your park. Staff Rooms have a maximum capacity, so you’ll need to make sure that there are enough Staff Rooms spread around your park for all your staff members to take their scheduled breaks.
