Improving Guest Experience

Guests will score their experience in your park based on the moods and thoughts they've had since they arrived. Their score will constantly change as they experience new things, so even the grumpiest guest can have their score turned around if they have enough fun.

Guest Experience feeds into your Park Reputation, which directly affects your Park Rating. Your Park Rating in turn affects how many guests are attracted to your park, so a better experience will encourage more guests to choose your park for a day out!

Ailments

Guests can pick up ailments during their stay in your park and it’s your job as a Park Manager to both limit these from happening and to help your guests recover.

Guests can develop the following ailments:

Creating Shops

Building shops has never been simpler! Create food courts and shopping plazas quickly and easily with pre-built vendors or design your own spaces with shop counters and scenery.

Gift Shops & Services

Gift Shops and Guest Services are a great way to provide your guests with amazing mementos and useful items for their time in your park.

Guest Moods

Guests will show their feelings about your park by displaying a variety of Moods. Keeping guests happy means catering to their needs and giving them lots of fun things to do in your theme park.

There are seven different moods which guests might experience while in your park:

Creating Event Sequences

In Planet Coaster 2, you can create special effect displays to entertain and delight your guests! These can be used as part of your coasters and flumes or as part of your scenery decoration through your theme and water park.

From gentle falling snow or flower petals to exciting blasts of fire and water, you can find all the available effects for your special effect sequences in the scenery menu.

Placing animatronics on rides or in a themed area of your park can take a basic design to the next level, creating dynamic displays for guests to interact with.

Customising Your Rides

Every little detail matters! But it has never been simpler to completely make-over a ride and transform it into something fantastic to wow your guests.

The amazing default Blueprints in Planet Coaster 2 are perfect for quickly building a theme park. However, if you’ve got a specific theme in mind, the customisation options are endless to build your dream park, using scenery pieces, special effects sequencing, or even simply recolouring your favourite rides and flumes!

Utilities

Planet Coaster 2 introduces a number of new mechanics that directly impact the daily running of your park, creating new utilities that you need to manage around your park.

Power Facilities

Rides and Facilities need access to a steady supply of power for them to function. Creating a power network requires management of Generators, Distributors and Power Cables.

Staff Facilities

Facilities aren’t only for the guests! Your Staff will also require access to facilities across your park to complete their jobs and perform at their best.

Staff Buildings

Staff Buildings allow your staff members to take a much-deserved break and raise their morale. Learn more about Staff and Keeping Staff Happy in our other guides.

Guest Facilities

Some facilities are designed to help keep your guests comfortable and happy as they enjoy their dream day out in your theme park. These facilities either fulfil some of your guests’ crucial Needs or allow them to access different activities in your park.

Toilets

Toilets might not be glamorous, but they are an essential part of any successful theme park.
