倭河马 (Hexaprotodon liberiensis) 是体型中等的哺乳类动物，栖息在塞拉利昂、利比里亚、几内亚与科特迪瓦的雨林和沼泽里。它们有灰棕色的皮肤、小小的耳朵和有四根脚趾的粗壮大腿，通常出没于河边，大部分的时间都在泥水中打滚与睡觉。倭河马平均身高介于 75 到 100 厘米之间，体长 150 到 175 厘米，体重 180 到 275 公斤。

The pygmy hippopotamus is approximately 20% of the size of the common hippopotamus it also has less webbing between its toes to allow it to trek through rainforests.
