馬島獴 (Cryptoprocta ferox) 是可見於馬達加斯加島森林的大型哺乳類動物，在島上的肉食性動物食蟻狸科之中是體型最大的。馬島獴大多是樹棲動物，具有長而纖細如貓一般的體型，尾巴幾乎與身體一樣長，毛皮呈現均勻的棕褐色。馬島獴有圓耳、圓鼻和跟貓一樣的黃色眼睛。雌雄沒有區別，體長在 61 公分到 80 公分之間，還有長 60 公分到 75 公分的尾巴。馬島獴的體重在 5 公斤到 9 公斤之間。
