紅大袋鼠 (Marcropus rufus) 又名紅袋鼠，是一種大型有袋哺乳類動物，廣泛分布在澳洲大陸，僅較少棲息於沿岸地帶及雨林中。紅大袋鼠有著粗壯的直角形後肢，細小的前肢，像兔耳一樣的大耳朵，臉部修長，口鼻鈍平。紅大袋鼠是有兩性差異的物種，雄性與雌性外觀不同。雄性的體型明顯較大，身高約在 1.3 至 1.6 公尺之間，還有一條 1.3 公尺的尾巴，體重在 55 到 90 公斤之間。雌性體型較小，身高約在 0.85 至 1.05 公尺之間，體重在 18 至 40 公斤之間。雄性有著紅色的毛髮，腹部為淺色，下肢、胸部和上肢肌肉紮實，雌性則有著灰色的毛髮，肌肉較不發達。
