圆鼻巨蜥 (Varanus salvator) 是原生于东南亚与印度次大陆较温暖地区各地雨林、沼泽与红树林的大型爬行类动物。体色为深绿至黑色，全身布满浅褐与黄色网状斑纹。这些网状纹路在尾巴上通常以环带模样呈现。圆鼻巨蜥是两性异形，雄性体型较大。雄性巨蜥体长在 1.5 米到 2 米之间，体重在 5 公斤到 50 公斤之间，平均为 20 公斤，而雌性体长在 1.2 米到 1.8 米之间，体重在 2 公斤到 22 公斤之间。
