红颈袋鼠 (Notamacropus rufogriseus) 是原生于澳大利亚东部与塔斯马尼亚的中型有袋目动物。身为袋鼠科的成员，它们同样拥有代表性的健壮后腿与粗尾巴、相对较短小的前臂、大大的耳朵和钝平的口鼻部。红颈袋鼠的毛色为灰色带一点红棕色，且腹部颜色较浅。它们的耳尖、鼻子周围和脚上的毛是黑色的。此物种存在两性异形，雄性的体型比雌性大。雄性红颈袋鼠站立时高度介于 76 至 93 厘米之间，尾巴长约 69 至 88 厘米，体重介于 15 至 26.8公斤之间。雌性为 66 至 80 厘米高，尾巴有 62 至 78 厘米长，体重为 11 至 15.5 公斤。
