鬃狼 (Chrysocyon brachyurus) 栖息于阿根廷、巴西、巴拉圭和乌拉圭的树林、草地和灌木丛，是一种犬科动物，以其颈部中央到肩胛骨的深色厚鬃毛得名。鬃狼四肢细长，整体外观瘦长，身上覆盖着红色的蓬乱毛皮，腿上则有黑色的短毛。雄性和雌性鬃狼体型和外貌相似，肩高 73 厘米至 95 厘米、身长 95 厘米至 115 厘米、尾巴长 30 厘米至 40 厘米、体重介于 20 公斤至 29 公斤。
