Ягуар (или Panthera onca) — это большая кошка, обитающая в Южной Америке, Центральной Америке и Мексике. Крайне редко отдельные особи встречаются и на юге США. Может жить в различных природных условиях, но предпочитает селиться в густых лесах вблизи болот и рек. По сравнению с другими большими кошками обладает более плотным телосложением и весит в среднем от 56 до 96 кг. Длина тела составляет от 112 до 185 см. Окрас шерсти — от жёлтого до оранжевого с чёрными пятнами, живот белый.
