Очковый медведь (Tremarctos ornatus) — средних размеров медведь родом из южноамериканских Анд. У него густой чёрный мех с белыми отметинами на морде и на груди. В сравнении с другими медведями у него более короткая морда, свидетельствующая о близком родстве с вымершими короткомордыми медведями. Как и для других медведей, для очкового медведя свойственен выраженный половой диморфизм: самки намного меньше самцов. Самец очкового медведя имеет рост в холке от 76 до 91 см при весе от 100 до 200 кг, тогда как самки ростом от 60 до 73 см и весят от 35 до 82 кг.
