Медвежий вомбат (или Vombatus ursinus), также известный как короткошёрстный вомбат или голоносый вомбат, — вид сумчатых, который встречается в степях и лесах юго-восточной Австралии и Тасмании. У вомбатов округлое приземистое тело, мускулистые ноги и приплюснутый нос. Тело покрыто жёсткой серо-бурой шерстью. Длина тела у медвежьих вомбатов составляет от 90 до 115 см от носа до крестца, а вес варьируется от 22 до 39 кг. Явных видимых различий самцы и самки не имеют.
