Бинтуронги, или кошачьи медведи, — вид млекопитающих, обитающий в лесах Южной и Юго-Восточной Азии. У бинтуронгов вытянутое плотное тело и короткие широкие лапы. У этих животных чёрная жёсткая шерсть. Голова — коричневая с белыми пятнами на кончиках округлых ушей. Самки бинтуронга на 20% крупнее самцов. Длина тела вместе с головой у бинтуронгов варьируется от 71 до 91 см, а длина хвоста — от 56 до 91 см. Самцы весят от 9 до 20 кг, а самки — от 11 до 32 кг.
