O panda-vermelho (Ailurus fulgens) é um mamífero de pequeno porte que vive nas florestas do Himalaia e em várias áreas da China. Apesar do nome, não é parente próximo do panda-gigante, ainda que compartilhe de algumas características, como a dieta composta basicamente de bambu. Com pelo vermelho, pernas pretas, cauda listrada, focinho e orelhas brancos, o panda-vermelho mede em média de 50 a 64 cm, com uma cauda que varia de 28 a 59 cm. São excelentes escaladores e ótimos nadadores, e gostam de viver em diversos ambientes.
