A caranguejeira-de-joelho-vermelho-mexicana (Brachypelma hamorii) é uma espécie de aranha que vive nos cerrados e nas matas do México. O corpo e as patas dessa espécie têm cor negra, com juntas alaranjadas e, como todas as caranguejeiras, é repleto de pelos sensíveis. Têm cerca de 10 cm de comprimento, com uma envergadura de 15 cm. São animais noturnos, que vivem em tocas durante o dia e passam as noites caçando. A espécie se alimenta de insetos, além de pequenos anfíbios e mamíferos.
