A iguana-verde (Iguana iguana) é um lagarto de grande porte que vive na América Central, no norte da América do Sul e no Caribe. A espécie tem uma cauda extensa com uma crista serrilhada que vai da cabeça à base da espinha, além de patas robustas com dedos e garras longas. Os indivíduos também podem ter faixas na cauda e no corpo.
