O guepardo (Acinonyx jubatus) vive nas savanas e matas secas do centro e sul da África. Essa espécie é conhecida por seu corpo esguio, peitoral profundo, patas e rabo fino, além de marcas negras no rosto. Para não falar de seu traço mais característico: as manchas. Os guepardos são famosos por serem o animal terrestre mais rápido do mundo, atingindo 110 km/h ao perseguirem a presa. Estas são geralmente mamíferos de porte médio, como gazelas e impalas.
