O leopardo-nebuloso é um felino arborícola que habita as florestas e pradarias do Sudeste Asiático. Tem pelos amarelo-acinzentados, cobertos de grandes anéis negros reticulados. A cabeça, as patas e o rabo também são cobertos de manchas e listras negras. O leopardo-nebuloso mede de 69 a 108 cm de comprimento, com um rabo de 61 a 91 cm. Os machos são maiores que as fêmeas. A espécie pesa de 11 a 23 kg.
