De Mexicaanse roodknievogelspin (of Brachypelma hamorii) is een spinnensoort die voorkomt in het struweel, de woestijnen en de wouden van Mexico. Hij heeft een zwart lichaam en zwarte poten, oranje-rode tinten op de gewrichten en overal op het lichaam gevoelige haartjes, net als alle vogelspinnen. Ze zijn rond de 10 cm lang en hebben een spanwijdte van 15 cm. Het zijn nachtdieren die overdag in holen leven en 's nachts op zoek gaan naar prooi. Ze voeden zich met insecten, kleine amfibieën en kleine zoogdieren.
