안경곰(Tremarctos ornatus)은 남아메리카 안데스 지역에 서식하는 중간 크기의 곰입니다. 털은 두텁고 검은색이며, 얼굴과 가슴에 흰색 문양이 있습니다. 지금은 멸종한 짧은얼굴곰과 밀접한 연관이 있기 때문에 다른 곰에 비해 얼굴이 돌출된 정도가 덜합니다. 안경곰도 다른 곰처럼 암수의 형태가 크게 다른데, 암컷이 수컷보다 훨씬 작습니다. 수컷 안경곰의 키는 어깨 높이에서 76~91cm, 몸무게는 100~200kg입니다. 암컷의 키는 어깨 높이에서 60~73cm, 몸무게는 35~82kg에 불과합니다.
