덤불멧돼지(Potamochoerus porcus)는 서아프리카 및 중앙아프리카의 강과 호수, 습지에 서식하는 소형 멧돼짓과 동물입니다. 덤불멧돼지의 몸에는 멋들어진 붉은색 털이 자리 잡고 있으며, 얼굴과 다리, 꼬리, 귀 모두 검은색입니다. 또한 귀에는 검은색과 하얀색의 기다란 털이, 등 아래쪽에는 가느다란 하얀색의 털이 자라며, 얼굴과 귀는 거친 하얀색 털로 덮여 있습니다. 덤불멧돼지는 암수의 생김새가 다릅니다. 일반적으로 수컷이 암컷보다 덩치가 크고 무거우며, 머리뼈가 더 넓적한 데다 돌출되어 있고 얼굴을 따라 기다란 수염이 자랍니다. 덤불멧돼지는 머리부터 몸통까지의 길이가 100~150cm고, 어깨 높이는 50~80cm이며, 몸무게는 45~115kg입니다.
