붉은목왈라비(Notamacropus rufogriseus)는 호주 동부와 태즈메이니아에 서식하는 중간 크기의 유대목 동물입니다. 캥거루과의 일종으로 근육질의 큰 뒷다리와 꼬리, 비교적 작은 팔뚝, 큰 귀, 뭉툭한 주둥이 등 캥거루 고유의 특징을 지니고 있습니다. 붉은목왈라비의 털은 적갈색 빛을 띠는 회색이며, 배 부분에는 연한 색의 털이 자랍니다. 귀 끝과 코 주변, 발에 자라는 털은 검은색입니다. 붉은목왈라비는 암수가 다르게 생겼으며, 수컷이 암컷보다 덩치가 큽니다. 수컷의 키는 76~93cm, 꼬리는 69~88cm, 몸무게는 15~26.8kg이며 암컷의 키는 66~80cm, 꼬리는 62~78cm, 몸무게는 11~15.5kg입니다.
