애기웜뱃(Vombatus ursinus)은 거친 털 웜뱃 또는 민코 웜뱃으로 알려져 있으며, 호주 남동부와 태즈메이니아의 관목 지대와 삼림 지대에 서식하는 유대류 동물입니다. 쭈그리고 앉아 있는 듯한 둥근 모양의 몸과 짧고 튼튼한 다리, 뭉툭한 입이 특징입니다. 털은 거칠고 회갈색 빛을 띠며, 코에서 엉덩이까지의 길이는 90cm~115cm이고 몸무게는 22kg~39kg입니다. 수컷과 암컷은 외형적으로 뚜렷한 차이가 없습니다.
