쿠거는 캐나다, 미국, 멕시코, 기타 남아메리카 지역의 숲, 산, 초원, 사막, 관목지에 서식하는 대형 고양잇과 동물입니다. 쿠거는 보통 퓨마로 알려져 있습니다. 쿠거의 털은 옅은 갈색을 띠며, 두꺼운 다리와 꼬리, 넓적한 얼굴, 둥근 귀, 하얀 입과 눈에서부터 내려오는 검은 눈물 자국 같은 무늬가 특징입니다. 수컷 쿠거의 머리부터 몸통까지의 길이는 120~200cm, 키는 어깨 높이에서 60~90cm, 꼬리 길이는 63~95cm, 몸무게는 53~100kg입니다. 암컷 쿠거의 머리부터 몸통까지의 길이는 90~180cm이고, 몸무게는 29~64kg이며, 키와 꼬리 길이는 수컷과 비슷합니다.
