La mygale à pattes rouges (Brachypelma hamorii) est une espèce d'araignée qui vit dans la brousse, les déserts et les forêts du Mexique. Son corps et ses pattes sont noirs, avec une teinte rouge-orangé au niveau des jointures. Comme toutes les tarentules, son corps est recouvert de poils sensoriels. Mesurant environ 10 cm de long avec une envergure de 15 cm, c'est un animal nocturne qui vit dans un terrier la journée et chasse la nuit. Elle se nourrit d'insectes, de petits amphibiens et de petits mammifères.
