La tarántula mexicana de rodillas anaranjadas (Brachypelma hamorii) es una especie de araña que vive en los matorrales, desiertos y bosques de México. Su cuerpo y sus patas son negros, las articulaciones de las patas de un rojo anaranjado y, como todas las especies de tarántula, su cuerpo está cubierto de pelos sensibles. Miden alrededor de 10 cm, y la extensión de sus patas alcanza los 15 cm. Son nocturnas, pasan el día en sus madrigueras y por la noche salen a cazar. Se alimentan de insectos y pequeños anfibios y mamíferos.
