We recognise that Frontier’s activities have an impact on the environment in terms of raw materials, energy, and waste generation. This statement sets out our approach to ensuring that Frontier considers its environmental impact in all parts of its operational and business activities. We recognise our duty to comply with, and operate within, statutory environmental legislation. We regularly review how we can minimise the carbon impact of our business operations.

The company aims to cultivate and secure the support of all employees, suppliers, and contractors, encouraging these parties to engage in our commitment.

The policy will be renewed annually to ensure that we are meeting our aims and commitments, listed below.

The aims and objectives of this policy are to minimise our impact on the environment by:

  • Encouraging and promoting environmental practices within the company, our supply chain, and contractors
  • Calculating and making reasonable attempts to reduce our carbon footprint
  • Giving primacy to environmental issues and energy performance in the day-to-day management of our studio
  • Reduce waste from our studio going into landfill sites with the aim of zero to landfill

To meet our commitments, we will:

  • Communicate our environmental policy and encourage feedback for improvement
  • Ensure, where practicable within our working practices, efficient use of utilities through frequent monitoring of usage
  • Report our Green House Gas Emissions within our Annual Report and Accounts
  • Manage waste generated from our business operations by pre-treating / sorting our studio waste to optimise recycling, and committing to a zero to landfill policy
  • Minimise waste generated from our studio implementing best practice according to the principles of the waste hierarchy process, (reduction, re-use, recycle) and embracing new recycling initiatives
  • Participate in surveys, where practical, relating to Science Park initiatives for environmental management, i.e., travel to work survey
  • Through our purchasing process ensure, where reasonably practicable, that we purchase products from sustainable resources
  • Assess the environmental impact of all current and future operations
  • Support sustainable travel to work and business travel
